Tackling the hard things is an expression some leaders use to rally their people to persevere in the face of adversity. As an expression of a vision, it can indeed be motivating but to make it meaningful, the vision must be supported by execution.
When we talk with Edward Chiu about tackling hard things, the conversation addresses two equally powerful dimensions. Edward is the CEO of Catalyst, the Customer Success Platform that charged into the space with technology developed by practitioners, powerful marketing, and an aggressive push into developing and nurturing a community of rabid fans. The company has found success and has been transparent about going after aspects of business you might think are too much for it to bite off. Don’t bet against them. When they talk about helping ALL of a company’s organizations to become more customer-centric, we have a feeling they mean more than advising executives how to frame an argument.
Additionally, Edward has been transparent about an acute health challenge he’s been facing in 2023 and – for any skeptics out there – he does not appear to be trying to benefit commercially from the experience he’s been having.
On Wednesday, October 25, at 11am Eastern Time, Peter Armaly, VP of Customer Success at ESG, will have a conversation with Edward as part of ESG’s Customer Success Unlocked webinar series. Attendees will hear them talk about Customer Success today and tomorrow and about how striking a balance between the public and the personal might just be the best way to find success for both.
